§ 22-89. Lot standards.

  • (a)

    Compliance with requirements of law. All lots shall comply with all requirements of law.

    (b)

    Minimum lot dimensions. All lots shall have at least the minimum lot dimensions required by the Libertyville Zoning Code for the zoning district in which the property is zoned. Lots lying outside the village's corporate limits shall have at least the minimum lot dimensions required by the Libertyville Zoning Code for the zoning district most closely related to the use of the property, as determined by the plat officer.

    (c)

    Side lines. Side lot lines shall be as close as practicable to right angles with, or radial to, the street line.

    (d)

    Frontage. All lots shall have frontage on an improved public street.

    (e)

    Through lots. Through lots shall not be permitted; provided, however, that reverse frontage lots may be permitted where lots back up on a major thoroughfare so long as vehicular access to the major thoroughfare from such lots is prohibited.

    (f)

    Unsuitable land. No lot shall be created that includes lands subject to flooding, topographically unsuitable land, or other land whose use may increase the threat of flooding, aggravated erosion or other danger to public health or property.
