§ 14-68. Obstruction of public streets and other public property.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person or organization to obstruct any public street, public highway, public building, public parking lot, public park or other public place within the Village so as to hinder or interfere with the free and uninterrupted passage of vehicles, traffic, or pedestrians. hindrance or interference as used in this section includes, but is not limited to, obstructions created by the intentional static placement of persons or objects.

    (b)

    Every person who violates the provisions of the foregoing subsection (a) shall be deemed to be in violation of this section and upon a finding of guilty such person shall be punished by a fine of not less than two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) and not in excess of seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) or by imprisonment for a period which shall not exceed six (6) months or by both such fine and imprisonment. A separate offense shall be deemed to occur on each day during or upon which a violation occurs or continues.
